Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LOFRA LTD (“Vocaliose”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the Vocaliose website and services. LOFRA LTD is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17274428, with registered office at Office 12 Initial Business Centre, Wilson Business Park, Manchester, United Kingdom M40 8WN.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address and account credentials.
- Order and billing data — purchase history, pack details, and billing information. (Full card numbers are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by us.)
- Content data — the text you submit for generation and the audio files produced.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device information, and log data used for security, fraud prevention and service improvement.
- Communications — messages you send us, such as support enquiries.
2. How and why we use your data
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR:
- Contract — to create and manage your account, process orders, generate audio and provide support.
- Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
- Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate with you about your account, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where required, for example for any optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Artificial-intelligence processing
Audio generation is carried out using third-party artificial-intelligence processors acting on our behalf. The text you submit is transmitted to these processors solely to generate your audio. We select providers that contractually commit not to use submitted content to train their models, and we put appropriate data-processing terms in place. Provider arrangements may change over time; where they do, we will continue to require equivalent protections.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with: our payment processors; our hosting and infrastructure providers; the AI processing providers described above; and professional advisers or authorities where required by law. All processors are bound by contract to protect your data and to process it only on our instructions.
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption of stored data at rest. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authority of any breach where legally required.
7. Data retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and for at least six years thereafter, in order to comply with UK tax and accounting law. Content data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion or anonymisation, subject to our legal retention obligations.
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data; to rectification of inaccurate data; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at lofraltd@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. You will not usually have to pay a fee.
9. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on our website, with the “Last updated” date shown above.
